On January 22-25, 2019 WEF (World Economic Forum) Annual Conference was held in Davos, Switzerland. As the only enterprise invited in Chongqing, Sokon Group attended the conference as a representative. As the first intelligent EV enterprise to be invited to Davos, Jinguo EV of Sokon Group has gained much attention in its debut. Zhang Zhengping, COO of Sokon Group Intelligent Vehicle and CEO of Jinguo EV, met the Polish President and Indonesian Minister of Industry, reflecting the determination of Chinese intelligent EV enterprises to promote the international development.

　　During the forum, the Polish President Andrzej Duda showed his great interest in Jinguo intelligent EV and had a close communication with Zhang Zhengping. “Poland is a portal of Eastern Europe, and is also the strong supporter of the Belt and Road Initiative. The Polish president hoped Chinese intelligent EV enterprises to invest in Poland and take the full advantage of resources of ‘the Belt and Road’.” Zhang Zhengping said that it has provided a new idea for Jinguo EV to develop in international markets.

For Sokon Group, Indonesia is the important country along the Belt and Road, and the first SUV of Sokon Group was launched there in 2018. In the forum, Zhang Zhengping and Indonesian Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto had a discussion. Under the guidance of policies, Indonesia hopes to raise the number of EV to 20% in 2025. With the Sokonindo automobile plant, Sokon Group will take Indonesia as the basis and radiate to the whole Southeast Asian market. In the future, Sokon Group will actively promote the building of the new energy automobile plant in Indonesia.
